Circleville, Ohio has an annual fall fair and carnival, with a serious pumpkin growing contest.
This year's winning pumpkin weighed 1,622 pounds, grown by Bob and Jo Liggett (they're the proud folks in green in the last photo).
The Columbus Marathon was amazing. 15,000 runners. 80 bands along the course -- mostly rock & roll, with occasional fiddles and even a bagpipe. Lots of excitement from the spectators.
My running buddy John made a personal record for the course. Sadly, I had to quit after 15 miles -- a knee injury that had popped up late in training got me.
Think I'll be back next year, though.
